Pastor Kimberly Wright is the Senior Pastor of The Church of the Resurrection, a mission driven church that focuses on the transforming power of God to reach, save and change people, families and communities. She is a pastor who delivers the Word of God through sound teaching and profound preaching. She counsels using a Godly standard and her compassionate heart, and she manages the business of church with integrity and excellence. Rev. Wright’s life is a testimony of God’s transformative power to deliver, restore and redeem the lost and broken.Rev. Wright joined Resurrection in 1991 and served as youth pastor and assistant pastor. Under her authority Resurrection has grown physically and spiritually. In January of 2009, Rev. Wright led her congregation into a newly built church and community facility that serves hundreds of people each week. She looks forward to establishing a church that is open and serving God’s people twenty-four hours a day. Rev. Wright is also the Executive Director of The Center for Life and Faith. There, she has created effective educational programs that reach hundreds of children and adults from her community. These programs include an afterschool, youth development program, college preparation and retention program, a summer camp and a Saturday reading enrichment program.
Beginning as a volunteer, Rev. Wright has developed and expanded the agency and increased its success year after year. Rev. Kimberly Wright worked for years counseling several populations of people including those who were bound by substance abuse, troubled youth, single mothers, incarcerated men and women afflicted with HIV and also worked as a grief counselor. Rev. Wright graduated with honors when attaining her Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Sociology and Psychology. She also earned her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and is a third year student at New York Theological Seminary working toward her Masters in Divinity. Rev. Wright also sits on several boards, mentors several teenagers and participates in many community grassroots causes Rev. Wright does this and much more while being the cornerstone of her family. Her four children are her foundation, her motivation and her greatest inspiration.
