SARAH ELKIN

ID.png

In NYC since 2005, Sarah and her husband Robert have started a church, closed a church, re-planted a church and then merged it into a larger family of churches. Not surprisingly, these experiences left her feeling frayed. In search of support and "real life" ministry training, Sarah joined a church planting process group with Parakaleo, an organization that facilitates local groups and provides non-prescriptive Gospel training for church planting spouses. There she found renewed hope in her true identity as a daughter of God and healing from deep ministry woundings.  She now serves as Parakaleo's NYC regional network leader, and facilitates a local process group for spouses in Brooklyn.

Throughout her church planting experience, Sarah has also worked a day job in financial services, and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Organizational Effectiveness from NYU.  She lives in Brooklyn with her husband Robert and their two young children.
